Gi & No Gi Class

Entails roughly 45 minutes of instruction followed by 45 minutes of sparring. You can stay for one, the other or both!

 For No-Gi please wear:

  • Spats/tights or shorts (preferably with no pockets)
  • No-Gi Rashi or a T-shirt (No singlets please, slippery arms)
  • Men, if you are wearing tights please wear shorts over the top

For Gi classes, wear your Gi! We have a bathroom for changing in but we recommend you come in your gear.  Mouth guards are recommended during all live sparring for teeth retention purposes. Yes we have a box of gross loaner Gi's.

Flipped Classroom Model - Advanced Class

How do I know if I'm ready for advanced classes? If you know what you need to work on and you're always depressed because you know you suck at jiu jitsu, you're ready to start advanced classes.

"The flipped classroom is a pedagogical approach where instead of learning in class, you do your theory learning at home, and come to class to put that learning into practice, ask questions, and get feedback. Of course the latter is still learning, but the theoretical side can mostly be done outside of class.

The advantages of this model are
1: You can use your in class training time more effectively and get straight to practice
2: You can go at your own pace and make sure you understand the content you are observing
3: You can focus on what is important for your particular problems/game/style, rather than the class theme which may not be relevant to you at this point.
4: You can learn from the best coaches in the world"

Want some content to study before class? Hit up your friendly coaches Cam & Lukas and we will point you in the right direction
